Kimberly Area School District
G/T Coordinator
Kimberly, WI
My journey as an educator of gifted and talented students began at a gifted magnet school fresh out of college quite some time ago. At the time, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to further my education through master's level coursework in gifted education. My first teaching opportunity, otherwise known as my "trial by fire," held me accountable under the umbrella of Special Education for designing IEP's and structuring individual learning programs that provided curriculum compacting, acceleration and enrichment to my classes of fourth and fifth-grade students.

Before moving to Wisconsin, I served as a school-based gifted resource specialist directly responsible for the differentiation needs of over 100 3rd through 5th-grade students, as well as, coaching 5k through 2nd-grade teachers. Additionally, I have worked in the regular elementary classrooms as a teacher in 1st through 5th grade. These past seven years, I have worked with 4k-4 students in our G.T. program at each of the four elementary schools in Kimberly. Currently, I am finishing up my last semester towards a degree in Educational Leadership. I am passionate about gifted education both as an educator and as a parent, and am excited to be able to share my passion with you at WATG!
