Rob collaborates with schools and districts across the Upper Midwest, aligning and strengthening their professional development efforts. An educator for 23 years, Rob has been a teacher, an associate junior high principal, and was principal at Harriet Bishop Gifted & Talented Elementary where he was known for his innovative approach and ability to create a strong school culture with high expectations. Charged with identifying and serving underrepresented gifted students, Rob and his team changed the landscape of his school and his district, gaining statewide attention. While principal, he facilitated multiple professional development opportunities to meet the instructional and affective needs of ALL learners, including gifted learners. He created a successful and highly flexible system of instruction in which staff regularly used data to target instruction and increase student achievement. As a result of his efforts, and by placing a systemic emphasis on 21st Century Learning, the percentage of students who met or exceeded their targeted growth on the MAP test rose dramatically in both math and in reading, putting his building in the top 10% of schools in the country.
